The Facility Services department offers a progressive 4-year skills-based, practice-oriented vocational curriculum leading to the award of the ITE Skills Certificate (ISC) in Facility Services.
At lower secondary, the curriculum comprises two taster modules aimed at providing a foundation in engineering skills, through training opportunities such as basic plumbing and electrical service skills that are useful in day-to-day situations.
At upper secondary, students who opt to continue their vocational training in Facility Services will learn and equip themselves with the skills and knowledge of building facilities and maintenance work, such as air-conditioning, refrigeration, electrical and plumbing systems.
The vocational training program will be closely integrated with the academic curriculum to provide an enhanced and authentic learning experience for our students. Besides training in classrooms, laboratories and workshops, learning journeys and a 4-week industry experiential program will also be integrated into the ISC curriculum to engage students in real-work learning experience.
Upon successful completion of the 4-year program at Crest, students will be armed with both N(T) and ISC qualifications, to enable them to progress with their skills education in a wide range of Nitec programs at ITE.
