Curriculum Approaches

Beyond meaningful learning experiences, Crest also helps students make sense of their learning, retain it, and use it with growing independence. Through shared thinking routines and metacognitive reflection, students learn to recognise what they are learning, why it matters, and how they can show understanding.

MAP: Making Learning Meaningful
Students are guided to reflect on the Main thing they have learnt, its Application beyond the classroom, and the Proof that shows their understanding. This helps them connect classroom learning to real purposes while developing confidence in explaining what they know.

Read–Recall–Repeat: Strengthening Retention

Students build understanding and memory through simple, consistent routines that help them revisit learning, retrieve key ideas, and consolidate them over time. These habits support stronger retention and help students become more independent learners.
