Crest offers CCAs from 4 broad categories. These are Physical Sports, Visual and Performing Arts, Uniformed Group, and Clubs and Societies. Each CCA has its specific objectives. For instance, Physical Sports (PS) develop robustness, fair play and team spirit in pupils. The Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) instil in students a sense of graciousness and an appreciation for the rich culture and heritage of a multi-racial society. Uniformed Group (UG) activities aim to make good citizens of students by inculcating in them self-reliance, resilience, discipline, and a spirit of service to others. Clubs and Societies (CS) allow students to explore and extend their interests in wide ranging and specialised areas which may be knowledge-based or skills-based.
Objectives

CCA is a key platform for character development and inculcation of values and talent development. These activities range from training sessions and learning journeys, to opportunities to represent the school at competitions, community events and others. Crest believes that with an exciting CCA programme, students will have a positive schooling experience.
In Crest, CCAs provide opportunities for social interaction as the activities encourage both racial and gender. Students learn to respect each other and enjoy each other’s company whilst going through the activities together. Through CCA, students develop a sense of identity and belonging to the school.
Through the four-year CCA programme, Crest hopes to inspire Crestans to scale greater heights and to expand their horizon, on top of acquiring core values, social and emotional competencies and the emerging 21st Century Competencies which they can apply in their daily lives.
