The Questions Every Parent Actually Asks.
We know what is on your mind. Here are the honest answers.
Is Crest a "first-choice" school?
No. Crest is a deliberate first choice for families who want something different. Parents who want a school where their child will be known, not just numbered. The families who choose Crest do so because they see what it offers. Not because they have run out of options.
What qualifications will my child graduate with?
Two. The Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) and the ITE Skills Subject Certificate (ISSC). No other mainstream secondary school offers both. The ISSC is backed by 160 hours of real industry experience and makes your child's post-secondary application significantly stronger.
Who is eligible to apply to Crest?
All P6 students placed in the G1 stream, as well as eligible G1/G2 students, may apply through MOE's S1 Posting Exercise or the Pre-Registration Exercise. Crest evaluates each applicant on their potential to benefit from a skills-based, practice-oriented curriculum, not just examination scores.
Can my child go to Polytechnic or University after Crest?
Yes. Crest graduates pursue ITE Higher NITEC, Work-Study Diploma, Technical Diploma, Polytechnic Diploma, and for high achievers, University. The pathway is wider than most parents expect.
My child struggles emotionally. Will they get support here?
Yes. This is one of Crest's genuine strengths. Our strong Student Support team includes School Counsellors, SEN Officers, Student Welfare Officers, an ECG Counsellor, and a Youth Engagement Officer. Crest's CARE pastoral framework makes social-emotional learning part of every school day. Your child will be seen, not just managed.
How do I apply and what is the deadline?
Crest participates in MOE's S1 Posting Exercise. Eligible students may also apply through the Pre-Registration Exercise. Application forms can be submitted to crestsec@schools.gov.sg or in person at the Admin Office. Deadline details are communicated with PSLE result letters. Come to our Open House first. It will answer more questions than any website can.
