Try Before You Choose. That Is the Point.
Before committing to their two ISSC specialisations in Secondary Three, every student spends Sec 1 and 2 exploring all five vocational tracks through Discovery Modules. They cook, wire sensors, design parts, build apps, and run a retail operation — then choose what genuinely excites them. Not what sounds safe.
Discovery Modules are not introductory theory classes. They are structured, hands-on tasters, designed to give every student a real feel for each vocational environment before they make their choice. From January 2025, Discovery Modules have been redesigned to build foundational vocational skills while embedding 21st-century competencies: adaptive thinking, inventiveness, and real-world problem-solving.
The result is a student who enters Secondary Three with informed conviction, not a guess, about which two tracks they want to master.
