School Counsellor
Responsibilities
-
Provide individual and group counselling to students.
-
Conference with staff, parents and external professionals and agencies on students under your care, and conduct home visits where necessary.
-
Make appropriate referrals or necessary reports for students and their families to community resources or statutory agencies.
-
Provide immediate crisis intervention and follow-up to students affected by critical incidents.
-
Maintain case consultation records and proper documentation.
-
Provide regular updates to school management on the progress of students being seen for counselling.
-
Organise and conduct training for staff and students on pertinent mental health issues and healthy coping skills.
-
Attend events and network with relevant external professionals and community agencies.
-
Undertake other purposeful tasks that the reporting officer and school management may assign.
Requirements
-
Be effectively bilingual.
-
Have compassion, openness and work well in and with systems.
-
Grounded in at least a counselling modality, can hold a systemic perspective, be aware of developmental and acute trauma.
-
Preferably have work experience as a Counsellor in a school setting.
Special Educational Needs (SEN) Officer
Responsibilities
-
Provide in-class and withdrawal support, specialised interventions and skills training in specific areas of learning disabilities
-
Handle cases and manage records of students with SEN
-
Develop and manage the teaching and learning resources for students with SEN, including setting up and maintaining a special needs-friendly classroom/school environment
-
Conduct talks for parents to create awareness of SEN
-
Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to assess specialist consultation and support for students with SEN
Requirements
-
Be effectively bilingual.

Have compassion, openness and work well in and with systems.

Preferably have work experience as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Officer.
