Key Student Development Experiences (Sec 3)
Secondary 3 – Restore: Rising Beyond Limits
As our Secondary Three students step into upper secondary, they face new challenges and expectations. Restoring confidence means adopting a growth mindset, staying resilient when challenges arise, and supporting one another through adversity. By rising beyond limits, they discover their potential and emerge stronger, ready for greater achievements ahead.
MOE-OBS Challenge Camp
The MOE-OBS Challenge (MOC) Programme, under the National Outdoor Adventure Education Masterplan, provides Secondary Three students with authentic outdoor experiences that built confidence, resilience, leadership, and social awareness while forming strong bonds with peers. Crest has embarked on the MOC journey from 2026 onwards. Through challenging expeditions, students step out of their comfort zones to become adventurous, benevolent, and charismatic individuals.
IgnITE Challenge 2025

The IgnITE Skills Challenge, organized by ITE since 2016, is more than just a competition. It is an invaluable opportunity for students to learn and then to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world scenarios. Riding on the level theme of ‘rising beyond limits’, the entire 2025 Secondary 3 cohort form teams and take part in the competition, under the guidance of our teachers. Through this competition, Crestans discover their interests, build confidence, develop communication and presentation skills, and gain valuable insights into various technical and vocational fields. The experience also nurtures resilience, innovation, and a growth mindset — key traits that prepare Crestans for future education, careers, and lifelong learning.
Industrial Experiential Programme (IEP)
Crest adopts an unique internship experience known as the Industrial Experience Programme (IEP). The IEP equips all Secondary Three Crestans with valuable work experience through a four weeks internship with the real-world workplaces. It allows them to explore different careers, apply classroom knowledge in practical settings, and develop essential skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. Through hands-on experience, students learn responsibility, build confidence, and gain independence.

Learning Journeys
The Crest curriculum plans authentic learning journeys that aim to extend learning beyond the classroom by helping students see the real-world relevance of what they study. Through authentic and hands-on experiences, students apply subject knowledge in meaningful contexts, strengthening their communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. These journeys also encourage collaboration, reflection, and appreciation of how languages and mathematics shape daily life, culture, and society, making learning more engaging and purposeful.
